WELCOME:  This year the tournament continues its tradition of an enjoyable competition amid bountiful wine country ambience. Pickleball enthusiasts will play in this tournament coming from all over California and the western United States. The Wine Country Classic is one of the most popular Pickleball tournaments in California.

REGISTRATION: Sign up early to make sure you have a spot. Registration opens July 3, 2022.  Registration will close when brackets and/or the total tournament fills up.

COST: $75.00 per player for one event,  $85 for two events, $95 for three events. Payment required to complete registration. Only complete registrations will reserve a player's spot in an event.

USA PICKLEBALL MEMBERSHIP: Membership in USA Pickleball (formerly USAPA) is required to participate in a sanctioned tournament. JOIN HERE

INCLUDES:

  • Tournament Cap (no shirt or swag bag).

  • Tournament Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each a skill & age level (assuming at least two match wins during the bracket if brackets were combined.)

  • 1st place award includes bottle of wine from local wineries.

  • Raffles for wine and gift baskets will be available.

SCHEDULE:

  • Thursday, SEPTEMBER 30 at 3-6 PM: Early check-in, court set-up, & free FOOD for helpers.

  • Friday, OCTOBER 1: Women's Doubles, Men's Singles

  • Saturday, OCTOBER 2: Mixed Doubles

  • Sunday, OCTOBER 3: Men's Doubles, Women's Singles

  • Check in begins at 7:30 a.m..

  • Play begins at 8:00 a.m.

BRACKETS are BOTH Age and Skill:

  • Age Brackets for Doubles: 19+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+

  • Age Brackets for Singles: 19+,45+, 65+ 

  • Skill Brackets: 3.0,  3.5,  4.0,  4.5,  5.0  (For players who have never been in a tournament, use the this chart to help you self-rate.)

  • Bracket levels may vary or be combined depending on registrations in order to make competitive groupings. For small brackets, Round Robin scheduling will take place instead of Double Elimination scheduling.
