4th Annual Dick Beiden Scholarship Tournament

Our 4th Annual Dick Beiden Scholarship Tournament was another wonderful day of friendly competition, laughter, and community spirit!

We were especially honored to welcome our 2026 scholarship recipient, Tiana, who joined us for the festivities and cheered on our teams during the championship playoffs. We hope she caught the pickleball bug—we'd love to see her out on the courts with us in the near future!

The day was filled with smiles, great rallies, spirited competition, and plenty of fun. Congratulations to all of our playoff teams!

Following the tournament, everyone gathered to enjoy a delicious luncheon featuring deli sandwiches, homemade salads lovingly prepared by Cari and Nadine, chips, beverages, and cake. It was the perfect way to celebrate another successful event together.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Cari, Nadine, and Sue H. for keeping the buffet stocked, organized, and running so smoothly. Your hard work allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the afternoon.

A special shout-out also goes to Damon S., Cori B., and Mike S. for making all of the things necessary to hold a tournament seem to appear by magic! Your behind-the-scenes efforts often go unnoticed, but they are essential to making our events run seamlessly.

Thank you to Lori Jo C-J. for your “warm welcome” extended to all players, outstanding scorekeeping, and cheerful organization throughout the day. Your attention to detail helped everything stay on track.

And a final thank you goes out to Terri N. and committee. For your hours and efforts spent finding the recipient that “fits the bill.”  Terri, you know which student would have made Dick proud.  Thank you for your heartfelt speech.  We appreciate passing on the story behind our scholarship award to all of our members.  It was tremendous meeting Tiana and getting to know her a little better as well as learning about her goals for the future.

Events like this don't happen without the generosity and dedication of so many wonderful volunteers. Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, cheered, and helped make our 4th Annual Dick Beiden Scholarship Tournament another memorable success. We look forward to continuing this tradition of supporting local students while celebrating the friendships and fun that make our pickleball community so special!
