TIM SULLIVAN BY: MORGAN C., JANICE VB. & LORI L. Time After Tim Janet approached the three PRPC scribes on the day of Tim Sullivan’s Celebration of Life. She asked if we might have time to write about Tim—perhaps he had touched our lives in a special way. Could the three of us get together and write a short story to share with the membership? We had each written a couple of well-received Community Connector articles, and we all agreed that we would be happy to share our memo

Bonnie C. By: Morgan C. There are people who arrive at the pickleball courts ready to make an entrance. Bonnie C. is not one of them. Asked what her pickleball walk-up music would be, Bonnie didn’t hesitate much: “I like quiet.” Which may be the most understated answer ever given by someone who has spent roughly 10 years playing a sport famous for the relentless pop-pop-pop of plastic balls. Bonnie came to pickleball after years of playing tennis, and while she clearly

Arty McGoo By Osteo Dave August 2026 If you’ve ever tasted a work of art - nibbled a Monet, snacked on a Dali, or snarfed an entire Grandma Moses, then you may have noticed a regrettable aftertaste. But if you’ve savored an original Arty McGoo, then you’ve experienced art at its finest. Arty McGoo is the nom d'artiste of cookie artist Liz A., one of our club members. In fact, you may have enjoyed an Arty McGoo at one of our pickleball club functions. Liz first played pick

Our 4th Annual Dick Beiden Scholarship Tournament was another wonderful day of friendly competition, laughter, and community spirit! We were especially honored to welcome our 2026 scholarship recipient, Tiana, who joined us for the festivities and cheered on our teams during the championship playoffs. We hope she caught the pickleball bug—we'd love to see her out on the courts with us in the near future! The day was filled with smiles, great rallies, spirited competition, and

Paul A. By Lori L. TIMING The day Janet sent me a text about my next Community Connectors candidate to interview for PRPC, I was already in the car with him. Ironically enough, Paul, his wife Cass, and I were on a road trip to look at horses for sale. We were both looking for a unicorn to purchase that day. I shared the good news that he had been selected, and remarked on how amazing it was that we all happened to be in the car together at that exact moment. Paul smiled and s

Our members sure know how to celebrate! 🇺🇸🎉 On Thursday, July 2, the Paso Robles Pickleball Club came together to celebrate 250 years of American independence. The courts were full, the smiles were everywhere, and the turnout was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make it such

Family and friends traveled from near and far to celebrate Dick’s life and legacy, including one couple who made the journey all the way from Florida. Joined by many of our wonderful club members, the result was a fun, friendly, and spirited tournament that reflected th

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday to our pickleball friends celebrating birthdays in May and June! 🎂🎉 What a wonderful day of pickleball, laughter, friendship, and, of course, some fantastic treats! We’re featuring a few of our birthday celebrants along with one of the two generous bakers who helped make the day extra special. A big shout-out and thank you to Debbie T. and Andy (although we hear the real baking credit belongs to Andy’s lovely wife, Darcelle) for providing the delicious g

By Terri N.
