PRPC Connections - Getting to know...
Dodie L. By Osteo Dave I had not met Dodie L. (pronounced Dough’-dee) until I interviewed him for this profile, even though we both regularly play pickleball at Centennial Park. He and his wife, Chris, play at the crack of dawn and leave before I arrive – well after dawn has fully cracked and the early birds have gone home to breakfast on worms. Chris introduced him to pickleball over a year ago and Dodie immediately found it as fun and addictive as the rest of us. Dodi

PRPC Connections - Getting to know...
Randy W. By Lori L. Have you ever met someone whose life story is so captivating that hours pass like minutes? I most definitely have. His name is Randy W. ,and to say he has lived an interesting life would be a gross understatement. After playing two rounds of nine-hole golf with him—paired with hours of engaging conversation and countless iced teas (him) and Diet Cokes (me)—I realized I was listening to one of the most incredible life stories I’ve ever heard. Most of you ha

Birthday Celebrations at the Club
We had a sweet time celebrating our March & April birthdays at PRPC! 🎉 A huge thank-you to our wonderfully generous (and seriously talented) bakers, Nancy M and Nancy P, who treated us all to some delicious homemade goodies — and yes, they were as amazing as they sound! 🍰 Our ever-dedicated (and clearly hard-working 😉) Board Treasurer, Bryan C., couldn’t resist striking a pose by the treat table, joined by a few of our fabulous birthday stars. Be sure to check out the boar

JACKIE R. By Janice VB Jackie R’s life began in the countryside in southern England shortly after WWII ended. Of course she didn't experience the war, but did recall that food was rationed for most of her young childhood. When the war broke out her father was a student at Cambridge University but left after one year to enlist in the army and fought on the front lines in France and Germany, becoming a colonel by the age of 24. Her mom served in the WRNS (Women’s Royal Naval S

PRPC Connections - Getting to Know...
Scott E. Writer’s note: As our club begins a new feature on our website to highlight members of PRPC, I was delighted that I was chosen to write about Scott E. Scott was one of the first people that I met when I started playing pickleball in 2025 and has always been kind and ready to give advice if I ask for it. Scott is one of the really good people in our club and it was also a pleasure to talk with him and get to know him even better as I prepared this article. *********
