Dick Beiden Scholarship Tournament This is why we do it.

By Terri N.

Nearly 1 million -that’s how much scholarship funding and education benefits were awarded to members of the Paso Robles High School Class of 2026 during Scholarship Awards night last week.

Over $358,800 in scholarships from local business, foundations, community organizations, memorial funds and service clubs were awarded.

The Paso Robles Pickleball Club awarded Tiana with a $3000.00 Scholarship in the name of Dick Beiden.

Dick was a long time Pickleball player who taught Physical Education for over 30 years. He loved teaching the type of student that never gave up, worked hard, was the underdog and was kind to others. Our scholarship team chose Tiana based off the criteria Dick stood for.

Tiana has been accepted to Cal Poly Humboldt, University of Nevada Reno and Montana State University. She is majoring in Psychology/Clinical Psychology.

I would like to thank everyone who has ever donated towards our scholarship whether it be signing up for our annual tournament or just making a flat donation. The tournament this year will be July 7th hoping everyone will be able to join us!  Thank you all for investing in our kids and our community.

Lexi, our very first recipient has graduated and is now going to attend Graduate School! So amazing!

A huge shout out to the Scholarship committee: Kim M., Lori L., Ginny S., Morgan C. and Jackie M. for your commitment, compassion and wisdom in selecting our recipient. I look forward to working with you all again next year.

Dick would be very happy with this amazing club!
